Description Please note that the date given for the creation of this image is

wrong because I failed to set the date on my camera. I only mention this on the off-chance it is relevant.

In the picture itself, note the white ring in the thumbhole. This is the result of a process called thumb-bushing (uncertain of spelling) in which a ring of plastic is inserted into the thumbhole to prevent the

wood from being worn down by the nail.
