Summary
Description |
English: A Flute cast, a sedimentary structure in which a river current scours a specific shape into the base of a bed. This view is from below, i.e., from an overlying sand body that filled in (the "cast") the scour. From the Book Cliffs near Helper, Utah. Pen for scale. Flute cast is seen as darker brown shape, broadening and tapering toward the upper right of the picture, which is the paleocurrent direction as well.

Wikipedia for Schools is one of SOS Children's many educational projects. SOS Childrens Villages believes education is an important part of a child's life. That's why we ensure they receive nursery care as well as high-quality primary and secondary education. When they leave school, we support the children in our care as they progress to vocational training or higher education. Have you thought about sponsoring a child?
