Description |
English: Artist’s impression of how the surface of Pluto might look, according to one of the two models that a team of astronomers has developed to account for the observed properties of Pluto’s atmosphere, as studied with CRIRES. The image shows patches of pure methane on the surface. At the distance of Pluto, the Sun appears about 1000 times fainter than on Earth.

Wikipedia for Schools is one of SOS Children's many educational projects. SOS Childrens Villages cares for children who have lost their parents. Our Children's Villages give these children a new home and a new family, while a high-quality education and the best of medical care ensures they will grow up with all they need to succeed in adult life. Sponsoring a child is the coolest way to help.
