English: This is a photograph of a plate showing Wedding Procession of Lord Neminatha (22nd Jain tirthankara) . The enclosure shows the animals that are to be slaughtered for food for weddings. Hearing the cries of these animals, Neminath is overcome with compassion and refuses to marry and renounces his kingdom to become a Tirthankara.
