English: Archduke Maximilian Franz of Austria, son of Empress Maria Theresia of Austria and Holy Roman Emperor Franz I. Stephan of Lorraine, is visiting his sister Queen Marie Antoinette of France and her husband King Louis XVI. of France, 1775-'77, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna. Artist is Josef Hauzinger (1728-1786).
Italiano: Maria Antonietta, l' arciduca Massimiliano e Luigi XVI. Questo dipinto ricorda la visita che Massimiliano fece tra il 1775 e il 1777, all' età di 17 anni, alla sorella maggiore a Versailles, in incognito sotto il falso nome di principe Burgau: in realtà il giovane arciduca non fu benvoluto dalla corte francese a causa della sua totale indifferenza per tutto ciò che lo circondava e per la sua espressione sempre annoiata.
