English: Opening session of the House of Commons (the 13th Canadian Parliament), which was held at the Victoria Memorial Museum due to the Parliament Buildings fire of 1916. Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Borden (Prime Minister) is seated at the desk at left. Arthur Beauchesne (Deputy Clerk of the House of Commons) is seated at the Clerk's table on the left. Rt. Hon. Sir Wilfrid Laurier (Leader of the Official Opposition) is seated at the desk on the right. Ottawa, Canada.
